Battle of Crysler's Farm Visitor Centre and Adjacent Area
presented by Friends of Crysler's Farm Battlefield
WAR OF 1812 GRAND TACTICAL 2009
SATURDAY, JULY 11 AND SUNDAY, JULY 12
BATTLE OF CRYSLER'S FARM VISITOR CENTRE AND ADJACENT AREA
THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND:
- Admission to each battle is $5 per adult and $2 per child (5 - 12).
- A barbecue will be provided by the Riverside Heights Recreation Association.
- Children's military musters are also on the program.
- Raffle tickets for a hand sewn and hand quilted Upper Canada Village heritage quilt ("Vase of Flowers" patterns) are for sale at the Visitor Centre ($2 per ticket, 3 for $5).

WAR OF 1812 WEDDING --- CHRIST CHURCH WITHIN UPPER CANADA VILLAGE
Limited seating inside church but guests can enjoy a grand finale after the ceremony when the couple emerges from the church to be greeted by an honour guard of scarlet-jacketed British soldiers and the musicians of the 15-member Corps of Drums of the Crown Forces. They will then travel in an open carriage, accompanied by their cavalry escort, to their wedding reception in the encampment near the Battle of Crysler’s Farm Battlefield Memorial. The happy couple feature Markus and Sonja Schneider, long-time historical re-enactors who will actually be renewing their vows for the occasion.
